Radio clubs are a great place to meet fellow amateur radio operators. You can swap stores, ask questions, get opinions on equipment, etc. Many clubs have monthly meetings that consist of a short business meeting and then an informational program about some facet of amateur radio or something hams would have an interest ing. Many clubs sponsor operating events and other get-togethers. Some clubs also maintain repeaters on the VHF and UHF bands.
As with any hobby based organization, the more you put into the club and hobby the more you get out of it. Club provide a great way to find others who are intersted in many of the same things.
There is a list of clubs and their meeting dates on the AARC calendar. You can find it under "Area Clubs" on the menu to the left of this article.
We recommend you always check each club's web site directly to check for time/date/locations changes.
